About the author
Mr Kamal P. Timmal: Seasoned business leader, philanthropist, mentor and devoted family man.
Mr. Timmal’s natural ability to recognise people’s potential and help them reach their maximum potential has been evident throughout his life. Motivated by his passion, he founded Eskilz College in 2002, with the goal of providing individuals and companies with high-quality, accredited training and development opportunities.
After more than two decades, Eskilz College has flourished and expanded to offer a diverse range of qualifications and skills through a highly efficient online platform, making learning even more accessible, affordable, and convenient for everyone. Over time, Eskilz has not only endured but also adapted and diversified its services, resulting in the creation of The Business Lab.
Mr Timmal fulfilled the growing need for businesses to be compliant with the new acts and laws passed by the new democratic government in South Africa. With the new change came many challenges for all businesses who participated in transformation, this left less time and money to focus on their core. Without being compliant a lot of businesses were facing fines, stunted growth and closure. Mr.Timmal identified a niche. An entrepreneur, mentor and motivational speaker; he shared the passion to succeed with his clients. He envisioned an effective turnkey business solution all under one roof . A one stop business shop if you like. Today The Business Lab does just that, offering start to end business solutions.
In addition to these thriving operations, Mr. Timmal has also played a significant role in launching, mentoring, and incubating various small businesses within the Timmal Holding business premises in Randburg, SA. In 2019, Mr. Timmal further demonstrated his commitment to small businesses by launching the Small Business Chamber of Africa, which provides solutions to small businesses through collaborative relationships and meaningful networks that would otherwise be difficult to access.
“How could we have food on our plate when our neighbours go hungry.“ – Parmarsar Timmal
The Timmal family has a long-standing history of engaging in powerful social initiatives that dates back to the 1880s, when the family first arrived on the shores of KZN as indentured labourers. This legacy of philanthropy and community service has been passed down through generations, from Mr. Derby Timmal, to his son Ramjuttan Timmal, then to Parmesar Timmal, and finally to Kamal P. Timmal who is already working with his son, Jivesh Timmal to succeed these efforts. For over 160 years, the Timmal family has been involved in various humanitarian efforts, volunteering their time and resources to bring about meaningful change for entrepreneurs, families, and the wider community.
These initiatives include:
– #dignifyme campaigns (alleviating period poverty in SA)
– School & community feeding projects
– Creche & early childhood development
– Providing disaster aide to areas affected by natural disasters
– Men Against Rape (Gender based violence)
Amongst others
When asked about his greatest achievements to date, Mr. Timmal’s response is heartfelt and personal. He believes that his greatest accomplishments are his three children, who have always brought him immense joy, and continue to do so to this day. He also cherishes his grandchildren dearly.

Introducing myself
A believer in all religions and then some. To some up not a religious man, rather a spiritual one.
In my short time on earth I have much to offer people and this website is testimony of that in the form of inspired works of mixed medium art, ebooks etc.
What I do in my free time
I would like to believe that I would spend more time with my art and painting. However my business takes me in all different directions. My family is where my heart lies and if I could I would give all my spare time to them. There never seems to be enough.
How my career started
Strangely I began hoping to teach art and studied at UNISA. Did not quite catch my fancy. Went on to study heavy current electrical engineering. Put that aside for personal reasons. My passion was, and will continue to be, to assist people in realising their full potential and I suppose that writing my books is one way of fulfilling that. Lets not forget my art… Now that’s a serious passion.
Where I write nowdays
I have no set direction. When I awake, I feel what is needed and if there is a topic that catches my fancy, then I align my next book to that.
My future book plans
This is up for debate. I suppose it will be the flavour of the day and I would not mind some input from my readers as to what they would like me to research and write about.
